Fr. Jaise K. George is the son of Mr. K. A. George & Mrs. Mariamma George, Kavunkal, Anicadu, Mallappally.
Education
• B.A, (Psychology) MG University, Kerala (was elected as the College Union Chairman)
• M.A (Applied Psychology) Government College of Psychology and Guidance, Jabalpur(served as the Secretary of the Students Council)
• Internship at the Department of Psychiatry, St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counseling and is currently a research scholar in Psychology.
• Recognized as a Psychologist by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
• Special training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy under Dr. Neil Altman (New York University)
• Intensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from NIMHANS, Bangalore
Fr. Jaise K. George had his theological training at St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary Nagpur and had finished his Bachelors in Divinity from Serampore University. He represented Malankara Orthodox Church in the XXVI Quadrennial Assembly of the NCCI at Shillong as a delegate. He was the Assistant Director of Prerana Special School Nagpur. He is currently the coordinator of Pre-Marital Guidance Programme, Diocese of Delhi.
He has been a good orator since childhood and rhetoric is in his blood. He has bagged many prizes in the inter-school and inter- collegiate elocution competitions. He received the prestigious ‘Chavara Award’ which is given to the best college student orator in the inter-university level from Prof. M. K. Sanu. He renders his service as a resource person for conferences and trainings. He is a prolific writer too. He is invited for conventions and retreats in parishes. Fr. Jaise is married to Ms. Sheena Jacob and they are blessed with a son, Stevyn Jacob Kavunkal and a daughter, Aaliyah Mariam Jacob.
